Box contents: 1x SONAX Profiline 279000 Ceramic Coating CC Vinyl + PPF (50 ml) and 4x applicator
Long shelf life up to 15 months / 25,000 km. With UV protection that protects against fading and dehydration. Includes a set of 4 application sponges.
Directions for use:
1. Clean surface thoroughly. Immediately before sealing, the surfaces must be absolutely clean. To do this, spray Sonax Profiline Prepare onto a microfiber cloth soft touch and carefully wipe all surfaces to be treated with it.
2. Dispense CC Vinyl + PPF onto the soft foam side of the applicator and apply sufficient liquid to the surface in a cross-section pattern. The area to be treated should be about half a square meter (1/4 hood). Care must be taken to ensure an even application, as many films are highly absorbent, and stains or clouds (high spots) can occur.
3. Wipe off excess product immediately with a streak free microfiber cloth. If the applicator starts to harden during use, simply use a new pad.
4. After the entire vehicle has been treated in this way, the coating should cure for at least 6 hours. During all this time, the vehicle must be left in a clean and dry environment and the surfaces must no longer be touched. For optimal product effect, we recommend letting the coating sit for 12 hours to ensure a complete reaction with the film.
PLEASE NOTE: During application, ensure good ventilation.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: Does the paint correction and surface prep need to be different for PPF versus bare
A: PPF surface prep is different. PPF topcoat is softer than clear coat and shouldn't be cut aggressively. Decontaminate the PPF surface. Clean with IPA, and apply the coating directly without machine polishing. On bare paint being wrapped or filmed, complete all paint correction before film application, then coat the film surface after installation.
Q: Why does PPF/vinyl need a flexible coating?
A: Wraps expand and contract with temperature; rigid standard ceramic coatings crack and delaminate under this movement.
Q: Why does a wrap or PPF surface need a flexible ceramic formula rather than a
A: Flexible coating structure that bonds to thermally moving film without cracking; rigid coatings designed for metal cannot do this.
Q: What protection duration does it provide?
A: Up to 15 months including UV resistance against fading.
Q: Is it suitable for matte wraps?
A: Yes, suitable for both glossy and matte wraps and PPF.
